Cameron Hopkins - The Dynamic Dynamo of Ozzi Kleen

Let's kick things off with a straightforward introduction. Cameron Hopkins is the South East QLD and NSW Sales Manager at Ozzi Kleen. He manages the distributor network in NSW, serves as the Branch Manager on the Gold Coast, and oversees inventory for the Gold Coast team. Additionally, Cam is the direct sales manager for the Gold Coast, Scenic Rim, and Redland Bay as well as several other local council areas. In short, his role involves selling directly and managing distributors in NSW. If multitasking were an Olympic sport, Cam would be a gold medalist.

Cam joined the Ozzi Kleen family in October 2008 and officially started his role in November 2008. It's been a rollercoaster of more than a decade filled with adventures, challenges, and a lot of sales triumphs.

We asked Cam to share a glimpse of his typical day at Ozzi Kleen...

"Oh God, that’s a hard one to describe," Cameron chuckles. His typical day is a whirlwind of activities. He starts with his sales follow-ups, takes calls from customers and distributors, and handles a mix of service and sales-related questions. His role often takes him out on site visits for septic upgrades and new builds, where he ensures everything is on track. Cameron also promotes Ozzi Kleen at local shows, trains new recruits, and even gives speeches at the local TAFE for plumbers. He's a jack of all trades and master of none—or perhaps, master of all, given his impressive range of skills.

Last Friday, for instance, he assisted the service division by delivering a speech at the local TAFE for plumbers. He also serves as a backup for the service guys; if one of the team members is sick, Cameron steps in to handle commissioning. His day is as varied as a buffet at an all-you-can-eat restaurant.

Cameron’s work superpower lies in his insatiable curiosity to understand how things work. He dives deep into commercial jobs, striving to understand every nut and bolt, and loves solving problems with creative solutions. If there’s a puzzle to be solved, you can bet Cameron is on it, figuring out the best way to piece it together.

Cameron loves working at Ozzi Kleen because it feels like a true family business. He enjoys the camaraderie and companionship within the company. Mal and Sandra, the company’s owners, take a genuine interest in the well-being of their staff. This supportive, team-oriented environment makes every day enjoyable for Cameron. "We all have different strengths and weaknesses, but together we make a great team," he says.

Before joining Ozzi Kleen, Cameron had an eclectic career. He spent 10 years in marine (boat) sales with Mercury, followed by four years at Navman, and then some time at Suncoast Accessories. This diverse background has equipped him with a wide range of skills and experiences, all of which he brings to his role at Ozzi Kleen.
